Biography & Metadata

Lesoir return with Tomorrow Is Now Today, to be released 23 October 2026 via V2 Records. The album marks a defining chapter for the Maastricht art-rock band, bringing together years of touring, writing and growth in a sound that is cinematic, emotional and unmistakably their own. The title reflects the album’s message: the future is no longer distant. The things we hope for, fear or fight for already exist around us. It is both a call to action and a message of hope. Since forming in 2009, Lesoir have built an international reputation through immersive songwriting and powerful live shows. They completed four headline tours in China, toured across Europe, and supported Riverside in 2019 and 2023. They have also shared stages with The Gathering, Evergrey, The Pineapple Thief, Airbag, Delain and Within Temptation. For Tomorrow Is Now Today, Lesoir reunited with producer John Cornfield, continued working with Paul Reeve, and entrusted mastering to Steve Kitch. The result balances cinematic arrangements, live percussion, a real string quartet and progressive ambition with emotion, melody and dynamic songwriting. Lyrically, Maartje Meessen explores empathy, conflict and resilience through the voices of people who feel unheard. The current line-up features Maartje Meessen, Ingo Dassen, Rutger Martens, Ramon Reijnders, Staf Wouters and Bob Van Heumen. Grand yet intimate, progressive yet accessible, Tomorrow Is Now Today captures Lesoir at their most confident and complete.
