Shifty is an artist from Virginia blending raw storytelling, folk, alternative, and Christian music into songs that come from real life. His music lives somewhere between faith and doubt, loss and redemption, pain and hope. From songs about family and grief to songs centered on Jesus, Shifty writes honestly about the things that are hard to put into words. A major inspiration behind Shifty’s upcoming 2026 album is the loss of a close friend. The album was shaped through grief, memories, questions, and the struggle to find faith in the middle of it all. Rather than trying to hide the pain, Shifty chose to turn it into music creating songs that remember his friend while wrestling honestly with loss, God, and what comes after. The album is a reflection of that journey: deeply personal, vulnerable, and ultimately searching for hope in the middle of heartbreak. This is Shifty.
