Biography & Metadata

Italian pianist and composer, Antonio Di Fonzo began studying the piano at the age of seven. He studied with pianists such as Carlo Grante and Paola Bruni. In 2001 he graduated brilliantly at the State Conservatory and in 2013 in Jazz Music. He won several national and international music competitions and a scholarship, in 2007, to attend the Sommerakademie Mozarteum courses in Salzburg. Antonio gives performances in Italy and abroad (London 2016, Seoul 2018, Amsterdam 2019, Rotterdam 2020), playing other musicians’ works as well as his own original compositions. The success of his debut album “Rebirth” (2019, Digressione Music), highlighted in the reviews published in specialized magazines such as Jazzitalia and Klassic Heute, launched him to new prominence on the music scene and allowed him to express his talent as a composer rooted in the classics, yet transcending genre boundaries thanks to his studies and passion for both classical music and jazz. In 2021, he released a single "Endless Love" (Digressione music) which was praised by listeners and critics alike. His album "Hommage à Petrucciani" (Stradivarius Music Label), released in 2023, is an astonishing tribute to the great jazz pianist Michel Petrucciani, enriched by the collaboration with his son Alexandre Petrucciani. In 2026 he has released a new composition “Silent Sorrow” (Stradivarius Music Label), inspired by the loss of a special being.
