Kitty N.

Vietnamese Dutch-born Kitty N. is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, bedroom producer, and singer-songwriter. Blending 80s, 90s and 00s R&B with modern jazz influences, her music carries a warmth that spans eras, shaped by the atmospheric production of Sade, the laidback grooves and harmonies of neo-soul icons like D'Angelo, and modern jazz voices like Yussef Dayes, Tom Misch, and Jordan Rakei. Her lyrics are deeply introspective, and because she writes, plays, and produces everything herself, each song carries a closeness and intimacy that's entirely her own. Following her EPs Do You Understand? and Blush, Kitty N. is preparing to release her new EP It Takes Time to Heal, a project born from some of the most painful chapters of her life: sitting in therapy, losing a close friendship, and carrying the weight of racism experienced as a child. Yet beneath the ache, the EP is ultimately about healing: the slow, uneven work of learning to carry the past differently. At her core, Kitty N.'s music embraces vulnerability and offers a space where listeners can feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
