rhubiqs is the solo project of London-based composer and sound designer Tom Squires. Squires' music creates a world where Actress meets Kranky, with a side dose of Aphex Twin's Selected Ambient Works for good measure. These are far-reaching electronic and ambient sounds that provide immersive soundscapes for listeners to lose themselves in amidst thought-provoking textures, samples and field recordings. 2024 saw Squires join the Affin label to release his debut full length LP 'Aegis of Silence', followed by the 2025 release of his sophomore effort 'Spectral Passage' - also with Affin. "a series of compositions that are rich, alluring and ethereal in equal measure" - Sun-13.com, on Aegis of Silence. Squires also plays in Transatlantic Alliance, a post-rock group signed to Post.
