Michelle Raybourn

Michelle Raybourn makes music for the beautiful mess of being human. An Americana singer-songwriter originally from Dallas, Texas, and now based in Nashville, she writes songs that find the sacred in the ordinary, the humor in the heartbreak, and the hope of new life in the things that fall apart. A 2023 Belmont graduate, Michelle spent three years in the school’s Bluegrass Ensemble, traveling the country playing bluegrass standards and original songs alongside a crew of seriously talented pickers. These days, she’s bringing that musical foundation into her own sound: a little bluegrass, a little folk, a little country, and a whole lot of heart. In her latest release, Natural Disaster, is joined by Grammy-winning luminaries such as Byron House (Chris Thile, Emmylou Harris, The Chicks), Cody Kilby (Ricky Skaggs, Dolly Parton), and Andy Leftwich (Taylor Swift)  to bring her worlds together – family, faith, and folk music – exploring the landscape of womanhood, making sense of the harm that has been handed down, and finding healing.
