Rosabelle Rachwal

Rosabelle Rachwal is a project of swedisch pianist Johannes Johansson. A blend of peaceful piano and minimalistic strings. Rosabelle Rachwal reimagines songs from the Harry Potter movies through peaceful piano and string arrangements. While the piano often remains at the heart of the music, soft violins and subtle strings give the familiar melodies a warmer and slightly more orchestral character. Rather than trying to reproduce the grandeur and drama of the original soundtracks, Rosabelle keeps the arrangements intimate, gentle and understated. The focus lies more on the magical and nostalgic feeling the movies evoke — creating music that feels familiar, but a little softer around the edges. One might say, Rosabelle takes the music out of the big cinema and brings it into a quiet room at home, where piano and strings can unfold without ever becoming too dramatic. We wish you a good time exploring the works of Rosabelle and hope her arrangements bring back some of the magic of the Harry Potter movies in a slightly calmer way. And if you ever visit Sweden, feel inspired to go see Johannes play live. He regularly performs in Stockholm.
