Biography & Metadata

For over a decade, through several iterations and releases, Chennai-based four-piece The F16s have been steadily refining their vision. From their 2013 debut Kaleidoscope, 2014’s Nobody’s Gonna Wait recorded at Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn, 2016’s full-length breakthrough Triggerpunkte, through to 2019’s ode to companionship WKND FRNDS, and 2021’s searing ‘Is It Time to Eat the Rich, Yet?’, this vision has expanded in maturity and gravity — as thirty million Spotify streams and coverage in Pitchfork, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and Variety may suggest. A fixture on the festival circuit, the band played the inaugural Lollapalooza Mumbai in 2023 alongside personal heroes The Strokes, Bandlands with Amyl & the Sniffers and The War on Drugs, and Baybeats Singapore with Otoboke Beaver. Selective in process, calculated in execution, and blessed with the solitude of the hills, The F16s are pleased to present their 2nd full-length album “All Dogs Go To Heaven”. Ten tracks aided by personal growth and kinship about the uncomplicated way people can exist alongside each other. It's the sound of a band still moving, still shedding, still becoming.
