Biography & Metadata

Aural Imbalance is the atmospheric electronic project of UK producer Simon Huxtable, known for crafting deep, immersive soundscapes that move between ambient, progressive breaks, and cinematic electronica. Originally emerging from the drum & bass scene, Huxtable developed a distinctive style built around textured pads, subtle rhythms, and expansive melodic structures. Under the Aural Imbalance name, he explores the more introspective side of electronic music, creating tracks that are equally suited for late-night listening, headphone journeys, and deep DJ sets. Simon is also the co-owner of Deep Space Recordings and one-half of the project Deep Space Organisms, both of which focus on sophisticated electronic music with an atmospheric edge. Across his various aliases - including Idforma, Inhmost, and Kloor - his work reflects a consistent fascination with depth, mood, and sonic storytelling. As Aural Imbalance, Huxtable continues to shape a catalog of richly layered productions that blend ambient textures, progressive energy, and a timeless underground aesthetic.
