Biography & Metadata
Beautiful cinematic covers — from soft piano to epic orchestra. You've probably heard my music without realising it. I'm one of those uncredited guys whose music has been used of hundreds of shows reaching millions of listeners worldwide. Away from the music, I am a survivor. I live with PTSD, ADHD, depression, and anxiety — experiences that could have closed me down, but instead became a source of energy, empathy, and resolve. From those darker experiences, I’ve created a new portrait — where pain is transformed into healing, loneliness into comfort, and light is allowed back in. If you’re wondering where to begin, start gently. How I Wonder What You Are is a felt-piano reimagining of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star — intimate and ideal for sleep, focus, or quiet reflection. From there, the scale widens into epic orchestral works inspired by modern cinema, sacred reworks such as Herbert Howells’ Nunc Dimittis, uplifting inspirational piano, and a vast catalogue of Disney music, including over 50 piano arrangements of Alan Menken classics. Original works can be found throughout the Piano for Sleep collection. Composer Patrick Cassidy has praised my arrangement of Vide Cor Meum, and Australian film icon Bruce Beresford awarded me Best Music Score at the 48 Hr Film Festival. Across all of it — gentle or epic — the intention is the same: music that reaches inward, lifts outward, and carries a Disney-style sense of magic, wonder, and hope. https://linktr.ee/ricmills_official
