Chad Smith

Chad Smith is a powerhouse saxophonist and elite multi-woodwind specialist whose dynamic musicianship has made him a sought-after performer across Broadway, Hollywood, and concert stages throughout the United States. A Broadway veteran since 2002, Chad has performed in numerous acclaimed productions, including Legally Blonde, Follies, A Christmas Story, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and Wicked, where he has been a featured woodwind performer since 2008. His extraordinary versatility spans bassoon, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, clarinet, and flute. Chad has performed and collaborated with many of America’s leading orchestras and arts organizations, including the Philadelphia Orchestra,Los Angeles Philharmonic,Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, New Jersey Symphony, New York Pops, and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. His career includes performances alongside legendary artists such as Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Arturo Sandoval, Lady Gaga, and Bernadette Peters. Since 2012, Chad has been a prominent studio musician, recording for major film, television, and streaming projects with Disney, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Netflix. His credits include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, West Side Story, Lilo & Stitch, Toy Story 5, Behemoth, The Informant!, Minions and Monsters, and The Wizard of Oz at Sphere Las Vegas, along with television appearances on The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, Ted, and Schmigadoon.
