Biography & Metadata
Andy Bull is an Australian singer, songwriter and producer. Emerging from Sydney’s indie scene, Bull signed to Island/Universal Music, releasing 1970s-blue-eyed-soul-informed LP We’re Too Young in 2009. Following extensive live touring Bull’s indie piano-trio driven shows lead to Phantom Pains in 2010, featuring songs Dog with Lisa Mitchell, and Last Waltz, as well as a live recording of Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” on Australia’s Triple J radio. Bull then gained global attention in 2013 with the synth-driven Keep On Running. Baby I Am Nobody Now and Talk Too Much expanded his cult following globally, and extensive touring followed the release of his acclaimed album Sea of Approval. After stepping away from the industry, Bull returned with the song Its All Connected and accompanying album People You Love, a record built around human performances and “real friends playing together in a real room”. His later work, including Collapse in Bliss, continues his evolution as a self-producing artist carving a distinct emotional and sonic world.
