Biography & Metadata
Amity Hayze is an alternative artist who writes, records, and produces everything herself, which is either incredibly impressive or a sign she has control issues, but like, in a productive way. Depending on who you ask, her music sounds like a late-night drive you weren’t supposed to go on, a voicemail you shouldn’t have sent, or a memory that only exists because it hurt enough to stick around. Critics (imaginary and otherwise) have described her sound as somewhere between early 2000s nostalgia and emotional damage with reverb. Guitars blur into static, drums echo like they’re coming from the next room over, and her vocals sit right on the edge of either breaking or saying too much. It’s unclear which. Listening to Amity Hayze may cause you to stare at the ceiling longer than intended, rethink a past relationship, or briefly convince yourself that everything means something, even if it probably doesn’t. Side effects can include texting someone you shouldn’t, starting a project at 2am, or feeling like you’re in a movie that nobody else is watching. Despite all of this, she insists on continuing to make music. You can listen if you want. It might change your life, or it might just ruin your night in a way that feels oddly productive. There are no guarantees, and frankly, no refunds either. Did she write a bio correctly? That depends. Are you still reading it?
