Urban Poet is carving out a new lane in Indian hip-hop by pushing Haryanvi and Hindi rap through a modern, hard-hitting lens. Born in Saharanpur, shaped in Dehradun, and now based in Noida, his music carries the weight of the places that raised him. That background shows up in his language, his references, and the way he moves between dialects without forcing it. He introduced his sound with his debut EP CULTURE TIES (2025), a four-track project that laid down his intent early. Raw, energetic, and rooted, the EP brought his story to the forefront while sitting on groovy, rich and intense production crafted with Wamp and featured GHILDIYAL reinforcing the project’s focus on culture and collaboration. He followed that up with DND a no-nonsense statement built on heritage and self-belief, and JAHAAZ with YUNG SAMMY, where playful bars and cautionary themes met infectious energy. Their collaboration also extends to earlier releases like G-Class and 4 X 4, adding depth to a creative partnership that has evolved across multiple tracks. Around the same period, Chup Bete with Smoke further expanded Urban Poet's catalogue and sonic range. His appearance on Wamp’s producer album Wampino on the track MITTAR TITTAR featuring 4adity4. His delivery remains unfiltered, his sound modern, and his writing closely tied to where he comes from. As his catalogue grows, Urban Poet continues to carry his roots with him while aiming well beyond them.
