Thickshake

Thickshake is the independent indie-pop/rock project of multi-instrumentalist Alex Budrodeen from Rockhampton, QLD, Australia. Being a self-taught musician, Alex also took some time to learn as much of the ins-and-outs of music production (as his little spare time would allow) so that he could start producing his own music - all from the comfort of his own home music studio (or as it is otherwise known, the spare room downstairs). Thickshake's songs are bound by no particular genre with upbeat, sugar-coated guitar tunes, mellow acoustic rhythms, and even dipping into synth-driven ensembles. Alex draws inspiration from fellow Aussie musicians such as The Vanns and The Kite String Tangle, to international acts such as Coldplay, Blanks and Bon Iver - dabbling in both classic pop and contemporary song structures.
