carbeau is a Rio de Janeiro grown, Italo-French artist, composer and music producer based in Paris, France. After two years touring in the US with The Lemon Twigs, opening for Arctic Monkeys, performing with MARO and producing with mokina, carbeau unveiled a sophisticated example of his musical intelligence with his debut album Madrugada, followed in 2024 by its reissue Madrugada+Tramonto. With Odore dell’Asfalto, carbeau delivers his most intimate and fully realized work to date: an album that moves through solitude, memory, and longing, transforming a room in Paris into an emotional space where past and present endlessly chase one another. Blending evocative singer-songwriter sensibilities with Brazilian and Mediterranean influences, and embracing a more stripped-back and personal form of writing, the Italian-French producer and songwriter crafts a warm, organic, and deeply sensory universe. Recorded with a live, human-centered approach, the album shifts between delicacy, restlessness, and light, giving shape to an honest reflection on relationships that have ended, the images that linger, and the difficulty—and beauty—of letting them go.
