Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, MAYCE began her music journey in 2012 by sharing heartfelt cover songs on YouTube. Soon after she established her online presence, her talent caught the attention of Flo Rida, leading to a record deal and an opportunity to tour with him from 2015 to 2017 during his My House album era. In 2018, she took a step toward defining her own artistic path, signing with EMPIRE under Tina Davis. Her debut EP, released in 2019, featured “Cry For Help,” a song that resonated widely and introduced her voice to a broader audience. The COVID-19 pandemic brought an unexpected turn to her career, during which she relocated to Utah. Surrounded by the mountains and a slower pace of life, MAYCE found herself drawn to the storytelling traditions of folk and country music. This shift in perspective helped her refine her songwriting and reconnect with her authentic self. Her ability to capture relatable moments and raw feelings in her lyrics has become the heart of her music, drawing listeners to her unique voice as both a singer and a storyteller.
