Alon Sariel

Alon Sariel is one of today’s most versatile plucked-string performers, inspiring critics and audiences alike with his contagious musicianship and flawless technique, earning growing recognition as a multi-instrumentalist and captivating Bach interpreter. With well over a thousand concerts in more than 35 countries — including performances at Royal Concertgebouw, Elbphilharmonie, Sala São Paulo and Palacio de Bellas Artes — he maintains a multifaceted career as soloist, chamber musician and artistic director. In his widely praised trilogy for the PENTATONE label, Plucked Bach, he presents interpretations of Bach’s music, reimagined for lutes, mandolins, baroque guitar, oud and bağlama. Alon Sariel is a winner of many prizes and awards, including the OPUS Klassik. Besides touring the world mostly as an acclaimed mandolin soloist, he also curates concerts for the Styriarte in Graz 🇦🇹 and ’t Huis te Poort in Schiedam 🇳🇱, serves as a member of the Foundation Committee of the International Handel Festival in Göttingen 🇩🇪, as well as an ambassador for Thomastik-Infeld and for the animal welfare organization Pro Animale 🕊️
