Keiichi Sokabe

Keiichi Sokabe Born in August 26, 1971. Started his musical career as a singer and guitarist of Sunny Day Service in the early 90's.Sunny Day Service has released their 1st album "Wakamonotachi (Young People)" in 1995.The sound style of the album was an interpreting and remodeling version of 70's Japanese Folk and Rock music in a 90's manner.This album gave a striking impression to the listeners. Christmas of 2001, he started his solo career releasing a single "Guitar" which was written and produced by the influence of 9-11.2004, he established an Independent Label, ROSE RECORDS and started his Indie/DIY career. Since then, in parallel with the career of Sunny Day Service and solo works, his limitless artistic activities are spreading as recording producer, pop music composer, film music composer, ad jingle composer, story writer, actor and so on. 1971年8月26日生まれ。乙女座、AB型。香川県出身。 '90年代初頭よりサニーデイ・サービスのヴォーカリスト／ギタリストとして活動を始める。 1995年に1stアルバム『若者たち』を発表。'70年代の日本のフォーク／ロックを'90年代のスタイルで解釈・再構築したまったく新しいサウンドは、聴く者に強烈な印象をあたえた。 2001年のクリスマス、NY同時多発テロに触発され制作されたシングル「ギター」でソロデビュー。 2004年、自主レーベルROSE RECORDSを設立し、インディペンデント／DIYを基軸とした活動を開始する。 以後、サニーデイ・サービス／ソロと並行し、プロデュース・楽曲提供・映画音楽・CM音楽・執筆・俳優など、形態にとらわれない表現を続ける。
