Efe Jazz

Efe Jazz is a virtuoso on the guitar. The strings of his instrument always seem to weave tales that transcend the ordinary and resonate with the very essence of the soul. Born Efeoghene Alloh, “Efe Jazz” began his journey into the world of music when he was just 10 years old and his love affair with smooth jazz came naturally as he heard the music of George Benson and Norman Brown in his Delta State home. It wasn't too long before he found himself collaborating with some of the biggest names in the Nigerian music scene. Despite working with a diverse range of artists including Adekunle Gold, Mr Eazi, Lady Donli, Odunsi, Patoranking, Sarz, Julz, Odumodu Blvck and Joeboy; Efe Jazz never seems to do the same things twice. As he puts it, "Music is a feeling. I try to plant my current feeling into whatever song I'm playing on. The melodies I play are always intentional and are a reflection of my current mood. Playing, creating, or listening to music gives me joy, that alone is enough inspiration." Today, Efe Jazz has emerged as one of Afro-beats most sought-after guitarists. His impressive catalog shows the remarkable versatility that has allowed him to work across diverse genres and cement his status as a rare master of the guitar. Efe’s guitar virtuosity extends well beyond the studio. He is a luminary on the live stage, frequently gracing the iconic New Afrika Shrine alongside Made Kuti with magnetic presence.
