Matt Hammer

Matt is a full-time firefighter based in New York, a pastor, and a genre-bending Christian artist blending emo rap, hip-hop, alt-pop, and raw lyricism. Born in New York and raised in Ridgefield, CT, he grew up screaming Linkin Park and Five Finger Death Punch—wishing Christian music could hit that hard. Now, Matt brings that same emotional intensity to a faith-driven mission. Influenced by the sound of artists like Lil Peep, iann dior, MGK, Sleep Token, and Bad Omens, he’s carving out a bold new lane for Christian music—where real pain collides with eternal purpose. Also a professional motocross racer, Matt has faced broken bones, near-death crashes, and a deep understanding of what it means to fight through pain. Years of racing shaped his frame and taught him perseverance. That grit still rides with him—every lyric, every stage, every soul he reaches. His mission is to reach the lost, the broken, and the hopeless—while forerunning what God called him to build: Hammer Church. Alongside it, he created Holy Ghost Boys , a movement of music, merch, and raw faith for misfits who won’t stay silent. His sound is heavy. His message is holy. And his mission is defiant—as bold as seven lions. Don’t doubt God.
