Lunice

Lunice is a Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Canadian producer and DJ. Born in Montréal in 1988, he started as a breakdancer before turning to music production, co-founding a local night called Turbo Crunk with Sixtoo, Jacques Greene, and Ango. In 2010, he signed to LuckyMe, and in 2012 he and Hudson Mohawke formed TNGHT, a project that reshaped hip-hop and electronic music well beyond the trap sound it helped define. Around this time, he connected with Diplo, performing at Mad Decent's Block Parties and collaborating on a remix of Deerhunter. In 2013, Virgil Abloh, then part of Kanye West's creative team, introduced TNGHT to Kanye, leading to a production credit on "Blood on the Leaves" from Yeezus. In 2014, his single "Can't Wait To" was championed by Benji B on BBC Radio 1. Lunice went on to tour the world with Madonna on her Rebel Heart Tour, and in 2018 musically directed LINEATE, an award-winning Cirque du Soleil performance. His catalog since includes the album CCCLX, featuring SOPHIE, Mike Dean, Denzel Curry, and Kalifa, the TNGHT sequel "TNGHT II," singles "Get Right" and "Run Around," his 2023 solo album "OPEN," and collaborations with artists from Lil Wayne to DJ Shadow. He is currently building Chōra, a new live Spatial Audio performance piece premiering at SAT Montreal, alongside his single "Broke Bitch I'm Industry," featuring Laroie and CHÉRI, built on the idea that: "broken industries won't bring us down, because we are the industry".
