Biography & Metadata

The Lilacs have spent the last few years establishing themselves as one of the UK's most exciting independent guitar bands. Hailing from Wigan, they've built a fiercely loyal fanbase through relentless touring, anthemic songwriting and electric live performances that continue to turn first-time listeners into lifelong fans. With over 15 million streams across all platforms, The Lilacs have gone from grassroots venues to selling out some of Manchester's most iconic stages, including the O2 Ritz and Manchester Academy. They've completed multiple sold out UK tours, with their biggest run of headline shows still to come in support of their debut album, Keeping Up With The Joneses, taking in landmark venues including Manchester's O2 Victoria Warehouse and Sheffield's Octagon Centre. Along the way, they've shared stages with the likes of Sting and James, while earning support from some of the UK's biggest radio stations, including Radio X, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music and XS Manchester. Festival stages have become a second home for the Wigan four-piece, having played almost every major UK festival and winning over crowds nationwide with huge choruses, infectious energy and songs made to be sung back at the top of your lungs. It's that connection with their audience that has seen The Lilacs become one of the standout names in the new wave of British guitar music.
