Policarpio

Policarpio is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and producer who stands out in genres like indie, alternative, pop, Latin rock, and reggaeton. Born in the city of Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Eduardo Andrés Aponte Ortega, better known by his stage name Policarpio, started his musical journey in 2016 as a DJ, being a fan of electronic music back then. In 2018, influenced by the underground SoundCloud scene in Puerto Rico, he started rapping and released his first song. Throughout his career, he has been inspired by artists like Álvaro Díaz, Jon Bellion, Post Malone, One Direction, Justin Bieber, and Bad Bunny. Policarpio is a very ambitious musician and human being, with the goal of sharing his feelings with others who identify with his music. Although he dreams of one day performing at venues like “El Choli” or Hiram Bithorn, he also aims to make a mark in fashion, contribute to education, and establish nonprofit foundations to help others in his country.
