Kat Valentine

Kat Valentine (Kat Moscone) was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada during the sagittarius season. KV began communicating with music before words. She has trained in classical, jazz, soul, and pop vocals, at the age of 13 going on to becoming one of the finalists in YTV’s The Next Star. She’s been writing songs since she was 12-years-old and prides herself on her growing repertoire of originally written and produced music.
Her genre remains undefined, sliding between classic R&B sounds and experimental dark pop.The unique experiences she had as part of Windsors indie bar scene, her struggles with mental illness, and her branching into art mediums like Poetry has expanded her pallet of influences to include the likes of Tanerelle, Sevdaliza, Paul Institute, BANKS, Bree Runway, QUIN, Kelela, Tove Lo, FKA Twigs, and more.
In recent years, Kat Valentine has begun collaboration with other local Hip Hop and R&B artists like Tigran. She works closely with producer and studio engineer Avius, especially on her releases titled “Please Me” which he primarily produced.
