Biography & Metadata

Shehyee is a Filipino rapper and songwriter who first made a name for himself in PH's underground rap battle scene. In 2012, he won FlipTop rap battle league's first tournament alongside Smugglaz. Then in 2018, he became the champion in the league's Isabuhay tournament. Per versetracker.com, Shehyee is at number 6 in total views worldwide in the battle rap community. Shehyee's early wins in battle rap paved the way for his music career, leading him to branch out into the Filipino rap music scene with his self-titled album. This album includes the hits "Trip Lang" & "Inspirasyon." Shortly after, in 2015, he won the first Spotify Emerge competition, a key turning point in his growing career. Over the years, Shehyee has racked up various awards, including an Awit Award for his song "Bituin," which was featured in a mainstream Filipino film. On top of this, he's been nominated multiple times by different award-giving bodies in the Philippines. Following his 2018 Isabuhay win, Shehyee took a break from music and rap to focus on a successful video game streaming career. He made a comeback in 2021 with the hit "Aba Ok Din". As of 2023, Shehyee's influence in music continues to be strong. Both his 2016 hit "Samalamig" and his breakout track "Trip Lang" are experiencing a notable resurgence on various platforms. These long-lasting hits showcase Shehyee's versatility and talent as both an artist and a songwriter, proving that he can create music that keeps connecting with people.
