Form and Fate

Since 1999, spanning 27 years, Form and Fate have been creating heartfelt, emotional, dynamic and mostly, instrumental music. Heavily influenced by the late 1990s "post rock" powerhouses such as Mogwai, Tortoise, Slint, June of 44, and Godspeed You Black Emperor!, over the years, F&F have developed their own sound. Prior to 2011 they played with Caspian, Signal Hill, JUNIUS, Caustic Resin, El Ten Eleven, Tristeza and The Rum Diary. NEW ALBUM May 2026. The new album, Into the Stars, is a deliberate contrast to the sprawling, expansive compositions of their 2023 release Eternal (featuring vocals by Orion Lake). This new collection of songs narrows its focus into tighter, instrumental structures and more concentrated emotional bursts. The music is filled with constant tension, and at times grows heavier and more forceful than in years past, driving forward with an urgency that leads the listener down an explosive journey. Each track hits quickly and decisively — like fragments of a storyline told in sharp, luminous flashes rather than long-form landscapes.
