POP PUNK FOR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH When the Sun Sets a Chicago, IL based pop-punk band tastefully bridging classic and modern pop-punk. With influence from bands like A Day To Remember, State Champs, and Real Friends, the band uses strong and relatable lyrics paired with driving instrumentation to bring both punch and emotion to their songs. The band has a dedicated mission to spread mental health awareness and aid in suicide prevention through several outlets and partnerships on top of being completely open in their songs to prove that a listener is NEVER alone. Now independent, the band released their debut album The Cards We're Dealt in May of 2026 featuring some incredible artists like: 408, Definitely Maybe, lolitslea , and more showcasing some amazing talent in the scene. This record displays the next evolution of the band and combines the last 8 years of our discography into something that they are truly proud to share. When The Sun Sets has played alongside major national and international artists such as: Amber Pacific, The Haunt, Carly Cosgrove, Bowling For Soup, The Home Team, 408, Simple Plan, We The Kings, Hawthorne Heights, amongst countless others and are ready to bring their energy to the world. The band has done consistent touring with rising bands such as: Rematch, Upon Your Dead Body, Public Figure, and Gold Steps bringing their music all across the U.S. one show at a time.
