Biography & Metadata
Pot Amir started his singer/songwriter/producer career circa 1993 upon joining 'Innuendo' a Malaysian Soul R&B vocal quartet. Innuendo is best-known for their hit remake of Carefree’s “Belaian Jiwa” and had managed to to release 3 albums ‘Innuendo’(1997), ‘BrandNuEndo’ (2001) and ‘Essentials’ (2003), garnering 8 AIM Awards. Innuendo disbanded in 2005, Pot Amir founded the band ‘Radiostar’ and released independently EPs ‘Satu’ (2007) and ‘Dua’(2008). Radiostar was later rebranded as ROSIN with the release of ‘Bijau’ (2009). In 2010, he was roped in by Amer Munawer Yusoff of Ruffedge to assemble ‘AlMawlid’ a selawat-themed vocal group comprising talents from the 3 major R&B groups of Malaysia, Innuendo, Ruffedge & VE. Events he curated include ‘LaeyarTanchap’ (2003), ‘SemogaPC’ (2017) and ‘Unlearn Academy’(2018). He also dabbled in film production through Innuendo’s ‘Nanti’ (AIM 2002’s Best Video) and other music videos. In 2019 he released the 9-song album 'Alkaline Radiostar' at the same time also rebranding Radiostar into Alkaline Radiostar. Presently, alongside Semogaband he is curating dinner shows whilst making stratergic partnerships with event venues; also finishing up the upcoming 'Semoga' album under his independent label 'Suruhanjaya Senyum'. #SalingSenyumenDoakan
