Rohit John Chettri (RJC) is a celebrated singer-songwriter and musician from Kathmandu, Nepal, known for his soulful melodies and evocative lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners. With a career spanning over a decade, RJC rose to prominence with his timeless hit "Bistarai Bistarai" in 2013, a song that cemented his place in the Nepali music scene. His music blends contemporary pop with influences from Hindustani classical, jazz, soul, and South Asian folk traditions, creating a unique sound that bridges genres and cultures. A trained classical vocalist, RJC's versatility and emotive voice have made him a household name in Nepal and beyond. RJC was also the lead singer and guitarist of the legendary Nepali rock band 1974 AD from 2014 to 2019, taking over after Adrian Pradhan’s departure and contributing to the band's enduring legacy. He has also lent his voice to Nepali movies, adding a cinematic depth to his artistic repertoire. Notably, he performed the iconic song "Priyashi Ko Haatkelama," written and composed by the legendary Gopal Yonjon, a towering figure in the Nepali music industry.
