Dreaming In Colour’s latest release, Vertigo, showcases the vibrant sax voice of Jeff Kashiwa, known for his works with his band Costal Access, The Sax Pack, The Rippingtons and Acoustic Alchemy. Written by bassist/producer Kevin Ellis and keyboardist Michael Scherer, Vertigo aligns with Dreaming In Colour’s contemporary instrumental jazz style, which has contributed to the group's enduring appeal for over two decades. Kashiwa's dynamic performance imbues Vertigo with his innovative and distinctive sound, conveying a colourful spectrum of improvisation. With their auspicious rhythms and slick jazz-lines, St. Louis based Dreaming In Colour evokes jazz-inspired grooves and slick jazz lines. It was the Euro Jazz Press that called Dreaming In Colour "The Steely Dan of Smooth Jazz." ~Smooth Jazz.com. Dreaming In Colour is founded by bassist Kevin Ellis. He’s joined by Yamaha endorsing drummer Chris Noonan. The Dreaming In Colour ensemble is completed by Michael Scherer (keyboards), Tom Byrne (guitar), and Jason Swagler (sax). Dreaming In Colour collaborates with various A-List artists/performers/session players in the world of contemporary jazz. Joining them in the studio and occasionally onstage are Ken Navarro, Nelson Rangell, Jeff Kashiwa, Eric Marienthal, Tom Schuman, Andrew Stephen, Andy Snitzer, Tim Pascoal, the late Chuck Loeb, and Jeff Lorber.
