Dog Country

Hailing from the rugged heart of Gippsland, Dog Country channels the spirit of the old country greats with a nightmarish twist, drawing on wild west folklore, the Australian bush, and the grit of psychological thrillers. Dog Country is Jonathan Langley, Rich Buchanan, Gretchen Robbins, Darla Jean, and Billy Williams. Their self-titled debut album, out now, weaves murder ballads and knee-slapping tunes that pull you into tales of love, desperation, outlaws and shadowed minds. With evocative vocals full of gravel and storytelling that honours tradition while walking its own dark path, Dog Country blazes through the dust and shadows leaving a trail of dread that’s as unforgettable as it is untamed. Special thanks to trumpeter Maestro Dave and The Possum on the keys.
