Chicago-bred, LA-based MC and Grammy-Award winning songwriter (Beyoncé, Honey Dijon) Dave Giles II provides vocals alongside the funk-laden, soulful arrangements of New York DJ and producer (Kelela, Dawn Richard) Sam O.B. to create the future of dance music as Dave + Sam.  The genre-defying duo’s singles with Friends & Fam: Moodswing Music are progressive dance and pop confessionals that further their mission to package love, empowerment, and social commentary atop a globally-informed fusion of house, hip hop, and electronic dance.  They have performed at the Essence Festival and Defected Croatia and worked extensively with UK-based Defected Records — including their acclaimed debut album No Shade, remixes by dance producers such as Derrick Carter, Nick Godmode, Mike Dunn and 2023 EP, Not The Same.
