Mike Rogers, Jr.

Mike Rogers, Jr. is a singer-songwriter from Concord, California. Self-taught, started writing lyrics in high school, learned guitar to play his own songs. Music has always been his therapy. The albums that shaped him tell you everything you need to know. Pearl Jam's Ten. Blind Melon's Soup. Stone Temple Pilots' Purple. Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream. For Mike, music is a time capsule. He still buys albums before trips just to get back to that feeling. In 2009, he walked into Soundport Recording Studio in Grass Valley and met the owner, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Michael Padilla. They recorded together in 2009 and again in 2011. Those eight songs sat untouched for thirteen years before Matty McDavid helped Mike finally bring them to the finish line as Portrait of You in 2022. Something clicked. The following year, Mike recorded Crazy Sweet, a thirteen-song album released in 2024. Now he's back at Soundport one more time. Michael is closing up shop and moving to Georgia. Before he goes, they're finishing five new songs together. The first, "Not Like This," arrives July 3, 2026.
