Kut Vatan

Kut Vatan is a Turkish epic metal band fusing heavy metal with themes of nationalism, heroism, and Turkic mythology. While the sound is vast and orchestral, the project is the singular vision of Yıldırım Cömertoğlu, a Cardiac Surgeon and Hotelier who serves as the band's sole human member. Originating from Türkiye and releasing music under the Kut Soundworks label, the project represents a unique fusion of human creativity and synthetic power. Cömertoğlu acts as the architect of a digital legion, directing AI to generate every sonic element—from thundering drums to soaring choirs. This integration is a deliberate artistic choice; technology serves as a modern conduit for storytelling, allowing one man to command an army of sound grand enough to match the weight of history. The band’s 2025 release, Çanakkale Şehitleri Panturkic Mega Opera, honored the Gallipoli martyrs, followed by the Ey Türk Uyan EP. The saga continued in 2026 with the Ben Bir Türküm EP and the album Kızıl Elma (released Feb 2, 2026). Beyond Kut Vatan, Dr. Cömertoğlu is also the composer behind the bands Ötüken Yankıları and Thunder Myth.
