Biography & Metadata

Behind the name The Moon you find Lars Halapi – a well-known guitar player, producer and song writer. He was a member of, and songwriter for , Bo Kaspers Orkester and Gloria and 2005 he released the solo album When Your TV makes You Cry. He has produced countless albums with artists like Rebecka Törnqvist, Eskobar, Tomas Andersson Wij, Peter Jöback, Ulf Lundell and of course all 14 albums with Sophie Zelmani. Always with a focus on vibe, presence and storytelling before “flavour of the month”- sound. With The Moon Lars Halapi creates a platform and a stage for his own music, recorded in his studio Almost Heaven. The music is eclectic and has room for different singers, collaborations with other artists, instrumental tracks but always with the same focus on storytelling and presence. The second release is the song Don´t Go where frequent guests (sisters)Anna and Malin Törnquist sing. The song is built upon a simple guitar line allowed to grow and take off with lyrics about the most basic things for a human being. “Don’t Go is about human connection and communication which, for all their clumsiness and imperfections, are the only things that can save us from complete loneliness” says Lars Halapi about the song.
