Giancarlo Romani

Giancarlo Romani is a trumpet player active in the Italian and international music scene for over 25 years. He became passionate about the roots of Jazz at a very young age, listening to the sound of the trumpet of Louis Armstrong and Bix Beiderbecke. Over the years he experimented with different musical genres, from jazz (Etruria Criminale Banda) to Indie rock (Veeblefetzer) passing through reggae (Radici Nel Cemento) and Italian pop and songwriter music (Mimmo Locasciulli, Grazia Di Michele). An important role in his growth is certainly represented from the collaboration with Francesco De Gregori, with whom he took part in the tours "Sulla Strada" (2013) "Viva Voce" (2014) - “Amore & Furto” (2016), also recording two albums "Viva Voce" and" Live Sotto il Vulcano. The international experience is also significant, having performed in Cuba - Habana and Santiago de Cuba, in Turkey - Ankara - Youth International Festival, Spain - Sevilla - Vomex - Bilbao - Haizetara, Portugal - Sines - FMM Sines - Festival Músicas do Mundo, Scotland - Edinburgh Festival Carnival, USA - Boston - New York - Honk Festival.
