BlazeYL, distinguished by his twisting flows and flippant lyrics that wander through several pockets within hip-hop - not quite drill, nor fully confined to the ‘alternative’ hip-hop space, early releases such as Boss show Blaze treads an uncharted line. BlazeYL’s music is all about the feel, capturing a swag that’s natural, not forced – Pitchfork Rising from Kennington in South London, Blaze’s artistic output, whether through his solo releases or within the notorious House of Pharaohs, has been impressive. Having created a cult following on SoundCloud from 2016, the tens of thousands that listened, knew they uncovered something unrepeatable. Since “Boss”, a slew of releases, including his appearance on Mixtape Madness' & Kenny Allstar's Mad About Bars - S4-E26 PT 1 and The Sandman with Sam Wise, maintained Blaze as a sonically incomparable artist. Newer offerings in 2022 through Mysterious & Bedroom Bully further establish Blaze as a first-rate artist, carving his own and ruthlessly threatening adjacent lanes.
