BROWNIE

Multi-instrumentalist BROWNIE was born into a musicians family, his father being the solo violoncellist of the Frankfurt Opera House and his mother a piano teacher. He started learning classical piano at the age of 4 and added electric bass and guitar as a teen. In his early 20s he studied at the M.I.T. in Los Angeles, and lateron worked as musician, f. e. live on german TV with Patricia Kaas, and as studio musician (keys, g, b, perc), arranger, sound engineer, producer and assistant producer for Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, Anna Maria Kaufmann, R. A. Ramamani and many other artists. With his own band, including musicians from Rainhard Fendrich, Klaus Lage and Pe Werner, he was on stage f. e. with legendary Mother's Finest. Since July 2023 BROWNIE cooperates with the german jazz label MONS RECORDS to release his own soulful music, which is based on Funk, Soul & R&B and inspired by Al Jarreau, Barry White, Deodato, Larry Carlton, Maxwell, Lonnie Liston Smith and Roy Ayers - to name just a few. BROWNIE‘s tracks reached top positions in international smooth jazz charts and „morning walk“ earned > 1,800,000 streams worldwide. BROWNIE’s album GROOVAZ - OCEAN DRIVE (duo with saxophonist Vladimir Strecker) containing 12 tracks has also been released by MONS Records. BROWNIE also is an internationally awarded landscape and architecture photo artist. In 2018 he was awarded as ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR. BROWNIE‘s music is AI free.
