Genick

Genick is a UK Garage (UKG) & Bassline Producer/DJ based in Tokyo, known for organizing the club event "RIP" and co-founding the dance music label "SPRAYBOX." He also hosts the radio show "UKG RISING" on block.fm, where he introduces the latest UK Garage and Bassline music. Born in 1996, Genick began his career around the age of 20, performing at major clubs in Tokyo. He has also showcased his DJ skills in Sydney and Melbourne, leveraging his experience studying abroad in Australia. In 2018, he even performed at an event hosted by Attack the Music in Los Angeles, USA. Genick supports the Japan tours of important artists in the same genre, such as DJ Q, Conducta, Sharda, and Phatworld, through his own events. He has released music on labels like Duckland, DA DEMOLITION SQUAD, Mutant Bass, and TREKKIE TRAX. Additionally, he shares DJ mixes on platforms like Rinse.fm and Lengoland. His diverse activities also extend to providing music for the arcade game "DANCERUSH." Through these experiences, he has developed a unique musical style and has performed at club events both domestically and internationally, sharing the stage with many top artists.
