Mawat

Mawat is a multi-award winning rapper, musician, producer and presenter who records AmaPiano and Hip-Hop music. Hailing from the coastal city of Durban, in South Africa, Mawat is a nominee of the AGMA Awards (UK), the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and a multiple winner of the Crown and Ingoma Awards. 
 A seasoned producer as well, Mawat has produced music used on Rhythm City (eTV), Isidingo (SABC3) as well as a theme song for DStv. Among others, Mawat has shared stages with celebrated acts such as Sun-EL, K.O, Kwesta and the Grammy award wining US based rapper Lecrae. 
 Mawat’s strong catalog includes collaborating with Lady Du, Sjava, Soweto Gospel Choir, S'fiso Ncwane, Mariechan, Lebo Sekgobela, Maraza, Masandi, and Kid X. Among his achievements is a USA Tour in 2018 as well as his 2019 single Inanda being declared gold 📀 by the Recording Industry Of South Africa (RISA). Remember the name: MAWAT.
