Marina Lin is a 25-year-old talented singer-songwriter who creates music that encourages people to embrace their humanness — including the messy parts. Born and raised in Thailand, a series of unexpected events led Marina to Toronto where she found her voice through music. Marina built a growing online community on YouTube organically and independently since the age of 18. She has amassed over 388K subscribers and 33M+ views since her start. In 2019, Marina shared her first single “this is what a broken heart feels like” with the world. 2 years later, the song has accumulated over 11 million streams across all platforms. Marina later released her debut album “a work in progress” in 2020 which highlights the hurting, the loving, and the growing, one can experience in relationships and life. In the height of the global pandemic and facing the uncertainties of it all, Marina wrote her upcoming release - anxiety attack. “I wrote anxiety attack on a Friday night after hours of not being able to fall asleep. At that moment, I could feel the familiar feeling creeping in. I've had many anxiety attacks before and I knew I was heading down that road. I had to write something down to calm myself and this song is what came of it." As her life evolves, so does her sound. Marina continues to push the boundaries of her sound as she heads into a more pop-leaning focus, all while keeping vocals that are as authentic and emotional as the stories they tell.
