Aeldfire

Aeldfire was born from the longtime collaboration of Salla Rimmi and Niilo Sirola, who performed and wrote together for over a decade in the Celtic folk rock band Greenrose Faire. When the band went on hiatus, the pair continued their musical journey as a duo, performing traditional Irish music and slowly shaping a new sound: Aeldfire. Musically, Aeldfire weaves together the acoustic roots of Celtic and Nordic folk, the melodic directness of pop, and the rhythmic whoopah of bluegrass. At the center is Salla’s vocals, praised for their clarity, warmth, and storytelling power, supported by Niilo’s Irish bouzouki. To enrich the sound, Aeldfire welcomes guest musicians on e.g. accordion, violin, tin whistle and double bass. These wonderful artists lend their talent to bring the songs fully to life, adding depth, color, and new textures with every collaboration. All instruments are performed live and acoustic, capturing an organic, unpolished, and authentic sound.
