Formed in 2017 by childhood friends, Mike C. and Kevin Snell, CHMCL STR8JCKT was to be a tribute to the Wax Trax sound they so loved in their teen years of the late 80’s/early 90’s. Releasing their self-titled debut in 2017, CHMCL STR8JCKT were very pleased with the reviews and response to their musical experiment. They soon caught the ear of John Bechdel of Ministry (ex-Killing Joke, ex-Fear Factory, ex-Prong) who agreed to produce their future releases, Wrtchd Thngs (2019) and Drk Prgrssn (2021). Together they moved from emulating bands like RevCo and KMFDM on their debut, to truly developing the sound of Outlaw Industrial Rock…..the sound of STR8JCKT. During this progression, CHMCL STR8JCKT opened shows for the likes of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Skold, Orgy and Christian Death. With Bechdel joining as a contributing member, CHMCL STR8JCKT has put the finishing touches on their next full-length release, IV-Rx. Being mastered by Maor Appelbaum, this album full of heavy guitar riffs, pulsing synths, dark themes and outlaw industrial rock anthems is set to be released Fall of 2025 on Cleopatra Records.
