Cruel Buddhist

Cruel Buddhist is a Shanghai based Lofi and Funk beat maker from the USA. Since moving to China in 2014 he has become renowned for his multi-instrumental live sets around the country opening for the likes of MNDSGN and BudaMunk. 
 Known for videos showcasing his SP-404 skills in scenic naturescapes, Cruel Buddhist credits Zen Buddhist philosophy and his neuro-divergent ADHD perception as the influences for his relaxed multi-layered instrumentals. His music won inclusion in Shanghai’s HIMA Art Museum, was featured on Lufthansa Airlines, and supported by brands like Carhart, Converse, and Puma.
