Biography & Metadata

Cinematic Jams is a film-inspired music artist project created by Lonzo Nzekwe, a Nigerian-Canadian award-winning filmmaker, writer, director, producer, and composer known for blending cinematic storytelling with emotionally driven music. As founder of IronFlix, Lonzo has written, directed, and produced acclaimed films including Anchor Baby, Meet The Parents, and Orah, which have screened on major streaming platforms such as Netflix, Paramount+, Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+. His work has also screened in cinemas globally and at major film festivals including the Toronto International Film Festival, Harlem International Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, Africa International Film Festival, Joburg Film Festival, and Reelworld Film Festival. Inspired by the emotion, atmosphere, and visual language of film, Cinematic Jams blends Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and Cinematic Soul into immersive musical experiences filled with reflection, tension, love, nostalgia, and triumph. Every song by Cinematic Jams is written, composed and creatively produced by Lonzo Nzekwe, with each track crafted to feel like a scene from a movie — rich in mood, story, and emotion.
