Gustavito

Gustavito Amaral is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and guitarist from Minas Gerais. His latest album, *Miração*, released internationally through Guatemala-based label Resueño, marks a new chapter in his artistic journey, blending MPB, Medicine Music and contemporary world music, inspired by nature, spirituality and ancestral traditions. Recorded entirely with live musicians, the album features Laura Catarina and Patrícia Bastos. The album is part of the wider artistic landscape of Resueño, founded by Mose and Sariel Orenda, and it is the second time Gustavito works with César Lacerda as a musical director. Rooted in Brazilian rhythms and shaped by diasporic traditions and Indigenous cultures, Gustavito’s music is driven by distinctive guitar playing and expressive vocals. Singing in different languages, he creates a dialogue between ancestral influences and contemporary Brazilian sounds. Over more than a decade, Gustavito has performed across Brazil and internationally, with tours and festivals in Portugal, England, Canada, Mexico and Italy. His collaborations include longtime partners Nanan and LUIZGA, with whom he created *O Destino do Clã*, whose second album is planned for 2027, as well as feats with Juliana Linhares Tainá Paloma del Cerro Sérgio Pererê, and Mushina . His live performances create an immersive and participatory experience, where rhythm, voice and movement become part of the music.
