Read the News is the electronic music project of Zurich based duo Lukas Mayer and Ryder Ulmer. Formed in 2020, they have built a distinctive sound that blends melodic house, techno, and progressive influences with cinematic emotion and powerful club energy. Following the launch of their own imprint, Read the News Records, the duo gained international recognition through releases on respected labels including Siamese, Habitat, Belonging, and RaRaLand Records. Their music has received support from leading artists across the global electronic scene, while collaborations and remixes have further strengthened their growing reputation. Read the News have performed at clubs and festivals across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, delivering immersive sets that balance emotional storytelling with dance floor intensity.
