SBG is a Copenhagen-based Dark SynthPop artist, produced by Virginia-based James K Ultra of Pain in the Yeahs. The pair’s unique brand of 80s-influenced anthemic Dark SynthPop has been described as containing “very thought-provoking themes which are crowned by a David Bowie-esque vocal delivery that will absolutely leave you wanting more,” by Nocturnazine—the heroic clarion bell sounding the work of goth, darkwave, industrial, future pop, and post-punk artists from around the world. Goth Collective describes Graham’s music as “Catchy 80s-influenced minimal Darkwave and Synth Pop tracks featuring lush layers of vocals over nostalgic analog arpeggios. Playful and glam, [the songs] feature harmonies reminiscent of Martin Gore [Depeche Mode] with underlying Bowie-inspired theatricality.” SBG was a fixture of the New York rock and roll scene of the 90s, as the lead singer of V, Sexus, Scott Graham & His Glamorous Band, Masterdog, and Dreambox. His theatrical costumes, stage presence, and vocals often drew comparisons to David Bowie and Peter Murphy.
