Picture Frames is an experimental, ongoing art project by Mumbai-born, Los Angeles-based artist Shaan Chhadva. Begun at age 21, the project serves as the musical equivalent of a time capsule, documenting Chhadva’s adult musical life with a yearly album. Each album is created with two key rules: everything must be started and finished in a single day, and every track must be recorded in a single, honest take. The project embraces raw imperfection, capturing moments of creativity without polish, re-dos, or editing. Each track is titled with the exact time it was recorded, turning the music into personal timestamps of Chhadva’s life. This project is a celebration of imperfection, freedom, and growth, offering listeners snapshots of a life lived through sound.
